Three Ladies (Reclamation Series)
Michael Lucero was born in California in 1953. He studied at the University of Washington in Seattle and received his MFA in 1978. Lucero spent significant time during childhood visiting family in New Mexico and his work reflects fascination with the animals, insects, landscape and vegetation of that region. Though he is best known for his ceramics works, the two-dimensional composition shown here, which is part of a larger series of ceramic works, highlights the seamlessness of his aesthetic approach and application across medium.
