Daryl Trivieri is an artist and musician from Utica, New York. He attended Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute and Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York before moving to New York City in the late 1970s. Trivieri settled in the Lower East Side and found financial support working as an illustrator of science fiction novels, influences that are apparent in the Self-Portrait included in this exhibition. Trivieri’s body of work is largely comprised of freehand airbrush paintings combined with drawing to create densely layered compositions.1
